Meet Jill Daniels

Contemporary Painter

Jill Daniels, born in the picturesque environs of Fairbanks, Alaska, is an esteemed contemporary painter currently based in Pasadena, California.  She studied fine art with an emphasis in painting at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Heidelberg University in Germany, Pepperdine University’s campuses in Florence, Italy and Malibu, California where she received a BFA in fine arts.  Renowned for her profound artistic expressions, Jill predominantly works with acrylic paint on canvas or wood panel.  Jill Daniels has emerged as a distinguished figure in the art world, celebrated for her unique approach to storytelling through solitary pieces of furniture.  Her paintings of chairs, beds, and lounging sofas hint at the kind of symbolism found in a world where the unexplained is governed by supernatural rules.

With her body of work, Stories From The Unseen; The Object As An Utopian Proposal, Jill captures the spirit of her subject through a clearly spoken visual language.  While engaging the viewer, her works elicit questions in a manner akin to a whispered secret being shared.  Using a deliberate minimal subject in her pieces, she grants the observer access to the sensitive, enigmatic works so they can bring their own stories into the art’s narrative.

Her works are exhibited and held in public and private collections in the United States, Europe, Australia and Korea.  Ms. Daniels’ influence extends further into the realm of Animation, where she has been acknowledged as an Art Director, amassing numerous nominations and securing two Outstanding Individual Achievement Primetime Emmy Awards for her exceptional painting proficiency.  In seamlessly interweaving her roles as a contemporary painter and a luminary in animation, Jill Daniels continues to significantly contribute to the enrichment of the artistic milieu.
