Jenny Jee-El Park is very active in southern California as a music educator, concert coordinator, and a collaborative and solo pianist. She is accompanist and pianist at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, and has been adjunct assistant professor of music at Vanguard University, teaching studio piano, chamber music, theory and musicianship. Her teaching career began early on, serving as faculty at the United Nations International School, the Concordia Conservatory of NY, and the JCC Thurnauer School of Music. Under the tutelage of Zenon Fishbein, she studied at the Preparatory Division of Manhattan School of Music from age 12, receiving awards and scholarships including the Frances Hall Ballard Scholarship and Anne-Marie McDermott Scholarship. She was the winner of MSM Concerto Competition and graduated with the highest honor, the Excellence in Piano Award. She gave her debut recital at age 15 in Italy that led to three consecutive summers of concert tours in cities such as Sulmona, Urbino, Pesaro, and Assisi. As the Winner of Artists International Special Presentation Award, Ms. Park gave her Carnegie Hall debut recital in 1998, followed by solo and duo recitals given at most of the major concert venues in the NY Metropolitan area. As a festival artist, she enjoyed performing outside of the city, such as the International Piano Festival at Brigham Young University of Hawaii, Shandelee Music Festival in upstate NY, Prague International Piano Masterclasses in Czech Republic, and the Performing Arts Center of Seoul, Korea, her birthplace. Ms. Park’s post-graduate studies were with world-renowned master teachers such as Phillippe Entremont, Jerome Lowenthal, Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri and Robert Roux, as a select candidate of International Certificate of Piano Artists. Ms. Park holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Arts degree in Music Education from Teachers College of Columbia University.
