Choir director, musician

Emily Luo is one of the choir directors for the Rise and Shine Children’s Choir at Calvary Chapel Chinese Fellowship, where she helps young voices grow in both skill and spirit. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from USC, where she also studied conducting and jazz. Inspired by her early musical experiences and international tours as a flautist with the National Taiwan Youth Orchestra through Europe and the United States, Emily was drawn to the rich musical opportunities and artistic diversity in America, which led her to pursue advanced studies in the U.S.

A versatile musician, Emily has been a choir member since childhood and is passionate about nurturing others through music. As a mom of four young children, she also enjoys baking, cooking, and exploring God’s beautiful world with them.
